Welcome to the web site of the Sacandaga Protection Committee. Formed in 2009 in response to proposed changes to the 80 year old Sacandaga Lake permit system, the SPC's mission is to protect the environmental, economic and legal interests of the entire lake community. Although the permit system rule changes have been put on hold, the SPC continues to support the interests of the lake community. The SPC is active in several onging issues with potential impact to the lake community.

The SPC is a non-profit organization and we rely on donations from the lake community to fund this important effort. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or comments.

5th Annual Summer Fundraiser Scheduled for July 10th

The Sacandaga Protection Committee will host the fifth annual Summer Fundraiser on Sunday July 10th at Lanzi’s on the Lake. The SPC attorney from Hodgson Russ and government affairs consultant from Bolton St Johns will be in attendance to discuss current issues. Last year saw a crowd of nearly 200 permit holders and community members in attendance brining in over $15,000 to support the efforts of the Sacandaga Protection Committee. This year's fundraiser will again feature a silent auction with hamburgers, hot dogs and side salads hosted by Lanzi's.
